Grill Garden

Thursday, April 26, 2018

Raked out the grill garden today. I thinking of gutting the whole thing this year and starting anew.

Sticks

Didn't have much time to work in the yard today but I did have a chance to pick up a few sticks.
Just trying to do a little bit every day.
Still a little bit of snow on the ground.

More Yard Work

Finished edging the back walk and finished cutting up the spruce top. I wonder what I'll end up putting in this planter.

Blizzard and Yard Work

Monday, April 16, 2018

Snow day a week ago today.

We had quite the blizzard and ended up with 16 inches of snow over that tax day weekend.

Started on some yard work today.
Backyard walk is getting quite overgrown so I did some edging.
I got some of the spruce top arrangement into yard waste bags.

Remnants of last week's snow.
P.S. Here is a friend's picture of her back yard bird feeder after last week's blizzard.

Cigar In the Yard

Gorgeous afternoon. Hard to believe last weekend was a blizzard.
Perfect day for a cigar in the backyard. Nice to have a couple hours to think and read.

January 23 - Snow Day

Yesterday's snow ended up being quite a storm. Turns out buses had a difficult time getting kids home from school yesterday afternoon. Citywide, some didn't drop off kids until 8 p.m.  Woke up this morning to hear on the radio that school was cancelled due to roads and streets still being a mess. Snow day!!

After walking home and shoveling yesterday I estimated there was at least 8 inches of snow that had fallen. Dale told me this morning that it was actually around 11 when all was said and done.
It was a glorious sunny day today. And the backyard looked great. Dale did a little more shoveling this morning and I did a little touch-up on the driveway. Dale had to work and I spent a lot of time doing laundry and lying on the couch.

It's the 7th anniversary of this blog by the way.

Snow!!!

We had to have gotten at least 8 inches!! The walk home was arduous because most folks hadn't shoveled yet and the streets were not plowed. It took me 70 minutes to help Dale shovel us out!
