Snow day a week ago today. 

We had quite the blizzard and ended up with 16 inches of snow over that tax day weekend.

Started on some yard work today.

Backyard walk is getting quite overgrown so I did some edging.  

I got some of the spruce top arrangement into yard waste bags.

Saw my first cardinal of the season today.

I've been hearing cardinals the past couple weeks and yesterday I actually saw one.

Have heard the cardinal a few times this season but can never see him. The above example is something I found in a second hand store yesterday while out and about with my friend Noel.

Visiting Brenda and Irv in Colorado

Dale and I are visiting Brenda and Irv in Colorado. I love this bird that is in one of their planters. Cardinals have always been my favorite.

Heard Another Cardinal This Morning

I heard another cardinal, second of the year, when I took Sophie out for a walk this morning. Looked up and saw a red splotch way up high in the tree across the street singing its beautiful song.

First Cardinal of the Year

I heard the unmistakable sound of a cardinal as I stepped out the backdoor this morning - that beautiful, beautiful trill.
