Second Dose - Friday: Cigar Time

Friday, March 5, 2021

Friday finally made it. It's been an exhausting week however not a bad one by any means. Decided to celebrate with a cigar in the yard.

I lit up around 5 p.m. when it was about 45 degrees outside.

By about 5:30 the temp had dropped just enough to warrant changing into a warmer hat and putting on a scarf. I also moved my chair into direct sunlight. This helped a lot.

Listened to some jazz.

As it approached 6 o'clock it got a little darker and colder still but it was nice to be out in the yard.

It's supposed to be 57 degrees on Sunday which would've been a better day for a stogie however I'm getting my second dose of the vaccine tomorrow and I hear the day after is a doozy as far as experiencing symptoms.

Overall, great cigar. My shot is at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow. If I'm feeling okay tomorrow afternoon I may smoke another one but it'll probably be one of the little Cohibas Warren brought back from Havana for me.

Mike texted me a couple of days ago asking if I wanted to get together for a cigar this weekend considering it's supposed to be so nice. Sadly, tonight, the one time that worked best for me this weekend, was the one time that didn't work for Mike. I cleared everything from my schedule after my shot tomorrow in case I have a reaction. Ah well. We'll make it work soon enough. It's been since October since I've seen him. Damn pandemic. Can't wait for it to be easier to see people again.
