Our girl turned 14 in early August. She's doin' great. We have a neighbor named Kyle who has a black lab named Maggie who is 16!

Cigar Time

Turns out the rain wasn't as imminent as originally thought. Dale checked the radar for me and it looks like there's an opening of a couple of hours between now and the next rain. That's enough time to light up a cigar.

Blue Sky After the Rain

After the thunderstorm the sun came out and the sky turned as blue as can be. I took the opportunity to get Athena outside on a walk. The rain is supposed to start again soon.
My intention is to light up a stogie in the backyard when Athena and I get home.
Rainstorm with Thunder and Lightning
Huge rainstorm today which was great considering the drought is really bad. I stood out on the back stoop and got the above footage of the downpour. Later, sitting in the living room, enjoying the sound of the rain, there was a stockingly loud thunder blast and and a simultaneous lightning blast the that echoed inside my chest cavity and cause me to call out. The same thing happened to Dale as he sat on a phone call in our computer room. I could see the blast from out of the corner of my eye. I've only experienced this once before and I was walking outside to Gethsemane I was standing directly underneath it when it happened. Shocking to say the least.
