Squirrels and a Gourd

A few days ago as Dale and I headed over to feed the cats next door I set a gourd outside on the back stoop because it was starting to get squishy. My intension was to throw it between the garages upon our return so the squirrels could devour it. We caught them massacring it as we were getting home. They bolted when they saw us. They also gknocked over GNed, our gnome.

Overnight Snow

When Dale and I went to bed last night close to midnight, there was no snow falling. When I woke up this morning around 6, I noticed that quite a few inches of snow had fallen overnight. Dale shoveled most of the snow on his own but I helped with the driveway. 

Trip to Bachman's

I'm so late getting started with planting this year.  Things are starting to brighten up just a bit.  Whatever the purple stuff is, it sure looks pretty. 

Gorgeous Fall Day Yesterday

It was sunny, cool and beautiful yesterday. Lots of leaves bagged. Many annuals are still holding up. By the way, were just under 11 hours total daylight now.
