Dale's mom and dad are in town. We had a few friends and neighbors over to meet them. Notice Jim and Megan's dog Berniece in the bottom right corner of the bottom photo. I think she had as much fun as the rest of the neighbors.

Backyard Friend
This little guy jumped by me as I was pulling some weeds on the south side of the house. He hopped into a window well and was tolerant enough of me to sit still and let me snap his photo.

Our Backyard Pine - August 2012
I'm a little worried about our backyard pine tree. It seems to be dropping may more sticks than usual and just doesn't seem as full. Some of this is due to age but I think some of it may also be due to this summer's heat wave.
Scorched Grass
This little patch in the backyard is always the first to get scorched. This summer's heat wave made it worse. Dale's parents are coming into town this Friday so I'm hoping I can green it up by then!
Finally Starting to Plant Some Flowers
Busy, busy, busy, June and July. I'm finally starting to get some flowers planted. These marigolds look nice with some dusty miller to accent them. Both of these plants do pretty well into the fall.
