We came in from outside after it started to rain and sat on the porch.  It was nice to listen to the storm. Warmish and a wee bit balmy, everything about it was not wintery!

Blue Sky After the Rain

After the thunderstorm the sun came out and the sky turned as blue as can be. I took the opportunity to get Athena outside on a walk. The rain is supposed to start again soon. 

My intention is to light up a stogie in the backyard when Athena and I get home. 

Rainstorm with Thunder and Lightning

Huge rainstorm today which was great considering the drought is really bad. I stood out on the back stoop and got the above footage of the downpour. Later, sitting in the living room, enjoying the sound of the rain, there was a stockingly loud thunder blast and and a simultaneous lightning blast the that echoed inside my chest cavity and cause me to call out. The same thing happened to Dale as he sat on a phone call in our computer room. I could see the blast from out of the corner of my eye. I've only experienced this once before and I was walking outside to Gethsemane I was standing directly underneath it when it happened. Shocking to say the least. 

The Storm of the Century - So Far

I was on the front porch watching the storm when I saw this tree come down across the street.  It was then I decided it was time for me and Athena to go down to the basement.
