Peonies

The peony bush got its first flower. I don't know about you, but I think it looks a little scrappy.

Cigar Time

Yesterday afternoon was a beautiful time to sit in the backyard. 

Flower Shopping

Dale and I went to Bachman's to buy some flowers yesterday. It's not over yet...

Persian Shield

Found some Persian Shield at Bachman's this season. I think it'll look nice with Dusty Miller.

Rhubarb

Did an hour's worth of yard work after school today. Rhubarb is huge. Seeds are high.

Peonies

Deb gave me some peonies a couple growing seasons ago. This is the first year they've shown signs of budding. Can't wait for flowers!

Up On the Roof

I climbed up on the roof to get the whirly-birds off of it. We think they may be responsible for some leaking we’ve experienced recently. Water builds up under them and then doesn’t drain off the roof but seeps inside. I swept them down to Dale and he helped collect them in a bucket (most pictures don’t show the whirly-bird seeds except in the top picture you can see where they built up to prevent drainage). I think Dale was a bit surprised how much I liked being on the roof. The best part of all of this though is that we did it together. What a team.
